Important Information

• Korbyt recommends a separate Web Application server and MSSQL Database server.

• If virtual machines are used, adequate resources must be allocated to each server.

• Requirements will vary depending on expected load & usage.

• Access to the internet from the web server is required for licensing purposes and any interfaces with cloud systems.

Free Disk Space

• Web/IIS Server 50GB Free Minimum on OS Drive + 200GB Minimum on Data Drive

• SQL Server 200GB Minimum on Data / Log File Drive

Note: Disk sizes are safe estimates – size cannot be foreseen without knowing how many bookings will be created and how the system will be configured, i.e., if shared with other databases or dedicated.

Operating System

• All Operating Systems that are currently supported by Microsoft and that support the IIS and database servers chosen (see recommendations below) are supported by Korbyt.

  • Newer operating systems are typically approved within 6 months of Microsoft’s general release.

• 64-bit Operating Systems are supported.

Processor

• A quad-core processor is recommended.

RAM

• Web server: 32 GB RAM minimum for Windows Server 2019, 2022 or 2025, higher based on projected utilization

• SQL Server: 32 GB RAM minimum for Windows Server 2019, 2022, or 2025, higher based on projected utilization.

  • Consider total utilization if it is to be shared with other databases.

Browsers

Supported browsers are:

• Google Chrome (recommended)

• Firefox 3+

• Edge

Web Server

• The Application server should be configured as a Web Server (with .Net Framework 4.8 minimum).

• Interfaces with cloud systems such as Azure SSO, Exchange Graph API, Zoom, and Teams need internet access and an inbound public DNS name with SSL for Graph subscriptions.

• Load balancing is supported.

Database

SQL Server versions supported are:

• Microsoft SQL 2019

• Microsoft SQL 2022

• Suitable editions of SQL Server must be in place to suit the environment and the number of users.

• Up to 5 users – SQL Express can be used (restrictions apply).

• Over 5 Users – SQL Server Standard/Enterprise Edition is suitable for Korbyt Booking use.

• If a ‘live’ database needs to be migrated or relocated, compatibility between the source and destination MSSQL servers must be met.

• Load balancing is supported.

Reporting

All MSSQL Reporting Services that are currently supported by Microsoft and that support the IIS and database servers chosen, including:

• MSSQL – Reporting Services Microsoft SQL 2019

• MSSQL – Reporting Services Microsoft SQL 2022

Korbyt can only certify and confirm that the application is thoroughly tested and functions as expected using Microsoft Network Load Balancer.

Backup

Backup of on-premises data is the customer's responsibility.

Remote Support

Access to server machines at each customer site is necessary for product support. Korbyt will work with each customer to agree on a suitable tool to allow remote access.

Notes

• Korbyt Booking will forward emails to your email server, e.g. Exchange/ G-Suite.

• Running Exchange on the same server as Korbyt Booking is not recommended.

• Running SharePoint on the same server as Korbyt Booking is not recommended.

• There are combinations of Microsoft operating systems that may not support the database server version chosen. Please check with your supplier before purchasing.

• Some interfaces may require SQL tools such as SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services). Although Korbyt Booking will run on versions that do not have these additions, please check with your Project Manager to make sure that your chosen version is future-proofed for your business requirements.

Reports
